Attorney Deria Hayes is a North Carolina native and received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from North Carolina Central University 1993. She received her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 1998. During the same year, Attorney Hayes was admitted to North Carolina Bar and continues to be a member of good standing. Attorney Hayes worked as an Associate Attorney for The Law Offices of James D. Williams, Jr., P.A. from 1998 until 2008.

She worked as an Assistant Professor, Supervising Clinical Attorney, Pro Bono Director and other positions at North Carolina Central University School of Law and School of Business from 2009 until 2021. Attorney Deria Hayes ultimately returned to The Law Offices of James D. Williams, Jr., P.A. in 2022 where she brings a wealth of experience and joins in the Firm’s continued mission for social justice and equity. She has two wonderful sons.
